Gliese 445 - Voyager 1 Waypoint

Gliese 445 is an M-type main sequence star located near Polaris (the North Star). Located about 17.5 light years from Earth it is a waypoint of sorts for NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft which was launched in 1977 and which will pass "close" (about 1.5 light years) from Gliese 445 in about 40,000 years.

30 second exposure taken with a Paramount ME, C-14 telescope operating at f/5.5 & ST-10XME camera binned 3x3. FOV is about 18 x 26 arc minutes. Software used: TheSky6 and CCDSoft.
